Graduation - UDOM


4th Graduation Ceremony Advert

The University of Dodoma (UDOM) is pleased to announce that its Fourth Graduation Ceremony will be held as follows:

Friday 22nd November 2013
  • College of Education (COED),
  • College of Health Sciences (CHS),
  • College of Informatics and Virtual Education (CIVE),
  • College of Natural and Mathematical Sciences (CNMS) and
  • College of Earth Sciences (CES).
Saturday 23rd November 2013
  • College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS)

Venue and time
All activities will be held at the Chimwaga Building grounds, at UDOM. On each day, the ceremony will start at 1.00 p.m. and will be for all candidates who have successfully completed their studies and qualified for various awards of The University of Dodoma for the academic year 2012/2013.
Participation in the Graduation Ceremony
  • Graduands should confirm their intention to participate from 20th October to 15th November 2013 through their respective School Deans. All Masters and PhD graduands should confirm through the Directorate of Graduate Studies.
  • Graduands should confirm by paying TSh. 55,000/= of which TSh. 35,000/= is a non-refundable charge and TSh 20,000/= is a refundable deposit. The deposit will be refunded when the gown is returned in good condition.
  • Payment must be made upfront through CRDB Bank Ltd, Account: UDOM Central Administration (CRDB) - 0150221567400. Bank deposit slips should be submitted during gown collection from the respective Colleges. Note that late confirmation will not be accepted.
  • The gowns shall be collected from the respective Colleges between 19th and 21st November 2013 starting from 10.00 a.m. each day. All gowns should be returned before the end of the fifth day after the graduation ceremony. A penalty of TSh. 10,000/= per day will be levied for late return of the graduation gown.

Rehearsal
  • All attending graduands shall participate in a rehearsal that will be held at the Chimwaga Building grounds starting at 8:00 a.m. on each day of graduation according to their respective batches. Attendance to the rehearsal is mandatory for all graduands who intend to participate in the graduation ceremonies.
  • Graduands who will not participate in the rehearsal shall not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony; instead, the awards will be conferred in absentia.
  • All graduands are required to be seated by 12:45 p.m. Graduands arriving later than the specified time shall not be allowed to enter the graduation ceremony.
  • All graduands will meet their own travel, lodging and incidental expenses.
